Ballet

Ballet introduces pupils to a magical world of movement. These fun classes encourage children to use their imaginations through dance including fairies, ponies, flowers and mime.

Pupils 5 years+ concentrate on good ballet technique following IDTA syllabus

 work up to teachers qualifications.

Tap

Footloose pupils start tap at the age of 4, where they are encouraged to think of their shoes as a musical instrument.

As they develop they learn the 29 tap sounds, which combined make all the tap steps.

​

Pupils study the IDTA tap syllabus as well as free tap classes, to encourage style.

Musical Theatre

Another very popular class, available to pupils aged 7+. These theatre syllabuses include singing, drama, acting and dance all in one class.  We run workshops where pupils study musicals and perform a show twice a year.

These classes are great for children to try out something new, with no commitment.  Our senior pupils join in our production class where they extend their talents performing at West End Theatres.

Freestyle/Disco

Disco is one of the most popular subjects at Footloose with pupils being able to start at the age of 2 years old. Pupils learn up to date Freestyle moves ranging from party dances to the Floss.

All pupils take Freestyle exams from the age of 3 years old, recieving medals and trophies annually.

Cheerleading

A dance class based on organised routines, using gymnastics, jumps, stunts and cheers. Cheerleading is available to pupils 5 years and older and they have the opportunity to enter into squad exams.

Street

Street classes start at 4 years old. These energetic classes teach warm up/hip hop/tricks and choreographed routines.

Our street pupils have the opportunity to enter into street competitions. Keep an eye out for upcoming competitions and info!

Adults

Footloose adult evenings are on Monday & Tuesdays, where they learn street/tap/disco/line dancing/zumba and fun fitness routines.

Our classes are for beginners to intermediate and all are welcome. Age 16 years+, all adults have the opportunity to take exams and dance in the Footloose show.

Boogie Babies

Our youngest pupils can start from 2 years+ and join in classes based on musical movement, disco, street and ballet. It is an introduction to dance for both boys and girls to gain confidence and express themselves through dance.

It provides fundamental building blocks for their future with dance.
